Zoom From Home – DTEN ME is a new tool to improve the conditions of those who work from home – a condition that is always common in this pandemic period: it is basically a 27 "touch display with microphones and video cameras. The device is manufactured by DTEN, a company founded in 2015 and specialized in videoconferencing hardware – always in partnership with Zoom. The DTEN catalog includes ON, with 55 "displays, and D7, 55 and 75" displays. They are clearly products oriented to the corporate world, but the new ME has dimensions and prices that make it attractive even for those who work from home.
The device has a rather minimal appearance – in fact it is full screen with only the upper frame a little pronounced. This houses three wide angle cameras and 8 microphones, for high audio and video quality; also included two stereo speakers. The operating system is proprietary – it's called DTEN OS – and of course it natively includes all the Zoom functions. Screen sharing is supported on mobile and laptop devices, and you can sync your calendar.
DTEN ME offers a 100 Mbps Ethernet port and an HDMI input; There is also a dual band WiFi ac chip. Supports wall mounting through 75×75 and 100x100mm VESA mounts, but is not included in the package.
DTEN ME will be available for purchase for $ 599, and only in the United States starting in August; we have no information on the release in Europe.
