Yesterday was marked by the arrival of information on the new Xbox Series S, or the economic proposal within Microsoft's next gen offer, now divided into Xbox Series S and Series X.
In the course of the morning it emerged that the new console is equipped with only 512GB of storage space (we are talking about an NVMe Gen 4 SSD), a very limited quantity – especially if we think about the fact that the Series S is All Digital – , but which fortunately can be increased through the memory expansion slot that we also find on Series X.
The first official expansion cards will be made by Seagate – as you can see from the opening image – and will have a capacity of 1TB. But how much do they cost? A leak in the last few hours seems to offer a very unexciting scenario, since the list price reported is a good $ 219.99.
It must immediately be said that this information is not yet official – since it is a rumor – and therefore the price shown could be a simple place holder (although very accurate) waiting for the final one to be released. However, if this scenario were to be confirmed, it is quite clear that this peripheral would not marry well with the concept of affordability transmitted by the Xbox Series S (which among other things is not mentioned in the product sheet, but it is likely that it is linked to the fact that Series S has been made official with anticipated timing). We cross our fingers and wait for more information.
