Xbox One X and One S All Digital are officially discontinued and the only model that will continue to be produced and distributed globally will be Xbox One S, as confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson pointing out that the process that retires the two models the current console is a "natural step" to prepare for the arrival of the new Xbox Series X, which will debut later this year.
Official confirmation of the production stop came a few hours ago, after many rumors and reports indicating a shortage in the stocks of Microsoft consoles in particular in the US and UK stores. Xbox One X and One S All Digital will therefore become two consoles that cannot be found as stocks in stores all over the world will run out over time.
If on the one hand the decision to retire Xbox One X is actually a "natural step" towards the next-gen, some doubts remain about the stop to the production of the recent One S All Digital, which arrived on the market last year. The choice of Microsoft, however, could be linked to the rumored Xbox Series S "Lockhart".
While waiting to discover the future moves of the Colossus of Redmond, please note that the Xbox Games Showcase, the event focused on next-gen games, will be "aired" on July 23 at 18:00.
