Before revealing the prices and launch date of its consoles, Sony focused on upcoming games during yesterday's PlayStation 5 Showcase. And it made a bit of a mess, it must be said. Starting with the heaviest announcement, that of Final Fantasy XVI, inaugurated by a message that warned: eye, it's all recorded on PC. But this is a subtlety: the substance of the announcement remains.
Rather, in the hours following the event, the information arrived and began to fill the holes left by the conference. Starting with the dates: the choice to use "Holiday 2020" instead of "At launch", for example, has produced unnecessary ambiguity. Not to mention Demon's Souls: a title that will accompany PlayStation 5 at launch, but whose trailer ended – and it was the only one – without specifying any date. In short, questionable choices.

But then there are also the real surprises. Above all, the news that some titles presented as exclusive PlayStation 5 will actually also arrive on PlayStation 4. And these are not just any titles: we are talking about Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West and even Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Two out of three will be available from launch (which here in Italy is set for November 19), while Horizon will arrive later, in 2021.
In short, it seems that compared to the statements a few months ago, which opposed Microsoft's more "fluid" policy by supporting a strong generational break, Sony has changed course.
