That The Last of Us Part 2 would be the summer game, there was little doubt. The masterpiece of Naughty Dog, we explained it to you in our review, is a title that not only manages to close the current generation, but with its obsessive technical care it ideally opens the next-gen (and we expect it to be available also on PlayStation 5, in fact).
It is no surprise, therefore, that since its release has moved the hierarchies of the ranking of the best-selling video games in Italy, where GTA V and FIFA 20 were dozing on their laurels. And this is also the case for the data that take into account the week that goes from June 29 to July 5. If anything, it is surprising to note how the long wave of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, released in March, shows no sign of going out: he is still occupying the second step of the podium, preceding the long-seller of Rockstar records and the inevitable title by EA Sports.
Once again, the aggregate ranking is a perfect cast of the console market: the domination of PlayStation 4 is clear, with 7 out of 10 titles, but Switch gnaws one more position with an unexpected flashback, or that of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , which on the other hand is already the best-selling game for the Nintendo hybrid. The PC world sees a change in the top, with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege climbing over the Sonic Generations Collection.
To close the podium, here too, GTA V could not be missing. Ubisoft once again scored a brace with Assassin's Creed Origins and Odissey, who climb the rankings to fourth and fifth place. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice comes out of the top 10, but enters another title (although very different) with a Japanese setting: Yakuza 0. Dark Souls III resists, but is satisfied with the ninth place, where he was third in the previous week.
