TCL has expanded the range of soundbars at IFA 2020 with two new models that join the TS9030, also known by the name of Ray-Danz. The upcoming products are TS8111 and TS6110. Let's start with the first and richest in terms of functionality. The TS8111 features a built-in dual subwoofer paired with passive radiators and angled transducers to recreate the effects offered by Dolby Atmos tracks.
It is therefore a model that supports Dolby's "object-based" format in a single body. TS8111 aims to offer simple and immediate sound entertainment but at the same time better than the performance guaranteed by TVs. The equipment includes the connection via HDMI with ARC, the audio return channel, wireless streaming via Bluetooth, an optical digital input and the wall mounting bracket.
TS6110 is instead a simpler product. The soundbar is paired with an external wireless subwoofer for low frequencies. Dolby Atmos is not supported but Dolby Audio via HDMI with ARC and CEC. This model also comes with an included wall mount bracket and features Bluetooth connectivity.
TS8111 will hit the market in the fourth quarter of the year. Prices are not currently available.
