We have recently published the review of the latest effort by Nintendo and its most known and loved character. The plumber mustachio, however, does not seem to know pauses and, after Paper Mario: Origami King, is preparing to return to the Switch screens with a new collection of games. The reference goes to the Mario 35th Anniversary Collection which, according to recent rumors, could be announced on the occasion of the next Direct which should take place on 20 July.
The title collection should include the revamped versions of the main games in the franchise – including Super Mario 3D Word, Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy – all designed to celebrate Super Mario's 35th birthday. The new rumors confirm what had already emerged at the end of March with the advances provided by Videogameschronicle.
Based on the new information leaked on the net, the new Mario 64 edition for Switch will be a "slightly improved" version with widescreen support while Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy will be portals in HD of the original games published on Gamecube and Wii. Apparently only Super Mario 3D World will be a real remaster which, in addition to technical improvements, will include many new features and will be published on Switch in Deluxe edition.
