Sony has created the "Ready for Playstation 5" logo, specifically designed to immediately identify the ideal televisions to match its new console, arriving by the end of 2020. The first certified models are the Full LED Array Ultra HD XH90 and Full LCDs LED Array 8K ZH8. The XH90 series is equipped with HDMI 2.1 and can therefore manage Ultra HD signals up to 120 frames per second (this function will be enabled through a firmware update).
Still speaking of HDMI 2.1, eARC, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) features are supported. When connecting a console, the Bravia Game mode is automatically set, which guarantees an input lag of 7.2 ms with games in Ultra HD at 120 fps. In the above mode you can also use the DualSense controller to operate both the TV and the PS5 while with the remote control you can control the console.
Even ZH8 will be able to handle Ultra HD signals up to 120 frames per second in addition to 8K at 60 fps of course. Viewing 8K games from PS5 will be available through a future TV update. Obviously there is the Bravia Game mode with the same peculiarities described for the XH90.
