Sky has started the gradual release of an update that brings various news on the Sky Q boxes. It starts from an interface redesigned in "widescreen" format and therefore designed for "panoramic" screens. The changes made consist in a better organization of the contents through a full-screen arrangement of the titles, useful, according to Sky, to offer a more engaging navigation between the offer made available by the pay TV.
Other changes involved the showcase pages of the programs, improved to allow subscribers to start or continue viewing their favorite content more easily. To facilitate use are also the new dynamic buttons that facilitate the identification of the most commonly used functions.
Finally, voice control has also been improved (through the microphones integrated in the remote controls) with the insertion of new keywords, useful for example for searching for titles or for accessing dedicated selections such as film collections on Cinema channels. The distribution of the update will continue in the next few days until it reaches all the Sky Q boxes.
