Waiting to find out the exact date and launch price of PlayStation 5, Sony has opened registrations in the US to access pre-orders of the console. The stocks of the next console of the Japanese house are limited, the news had been confirmed by the same Sony site in July and is now reflected in the mechanism chosen by the Company to manage the pre-orders of the console in the US market: registration will not immediately give the right to access to the pre-order which will be subject to an explicit invitation.
The selection is made by Sony on the basis of "previous PlayStation interests and activities" while the acceptance criterion is chronological: once the official confirmation email has been received, the user can therefore proceed with the pre-order which may include 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition, 2 DualSense wireless controller, 2 DualSense charging station, 2 Pulse 3D wireless headset, 2 Media remote and 2 HD Camera. At the moment it is not known whether the opening of pre-registrations will also take place in our country according to a similar mechanism.
In the meantime, further details emerge on the technical characteristics of the console and in particular on the wireless connectivity sector. The Brazilian site reports them Technoblog which confirms that PlayStation 5 will support Bluetooth 5.1 and the Wi-Fi 6 standard, which will guarantee optimal performance for those who decide not to use an ethernet cable to connect to the network.
Also known as 802.11ax, Wi-Fi 6 on paper is capable of delivering a maximum download speed of 9.6Gbps versus PS4's 300Mbps and PlayStation 4 Pro and Slim's 3.5Gbps. The WiFi 6 standard is therefore 32 times faster than the WiFi 4 chip built into the first PS4 model. Excellent news also for the Bluetooth technology whose version 5.1 allows greater precision in identifying devices with the possibility of connecting a greater number of them simultaneously.
