Panasonic will launch its first series of televisions with Android TV in November. The HX700E models will mark the handover (prelude to a definitive change for the entire range?) From the proprietary My Home Screen platform, born from the ashes of Firefox OS TV, to the Google operating system. The series is made up of four models: TX-43HX700E (43 "), TX-50HX700E (50"), TX-55HX700E (55 ") and TX-65HX700E (65"). All cuts are equipped with LED backlit LCD panels with Ultra HD resolution. At the moment there is no official information on the type of panel and the backlight.
There are also no indications on the image refresh rate but, given the range to which it belongs, we expect it to be TV at 50/60 Hz. Panasonic talks about motion processing entrusted to Real-Light Motion Rate (RMR) 1000 Hz and 4K Color Engine, a video processor designed to optimize color rendering.
The TVs support HDR video in HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision formats. Therefore, HDR10 + is missing, present on other products in the 2020 range such as the HX940, HX900 and HX810 series. The video modes available to the user are User, Standard, Vivid, Sport, Movie and Game.
The scope of delivery includes DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 tuners with HEVC support and CI + 1.4 slot with ECP. The data sheet also reports compatibility with the HbbTV standard in version 2.0.2. The Android Smart TV offers full access to the Google Play Store and the ability to interact with the Google Assistant voice assistant via the Bluetooth remote control with microphone. Of course, you can take advantage of all the functions of Chromecast.
There is also an integrated media player that allows you to play the following types of files:
- Video: mpg, mpeg, dat, vob, mkv, mp4, m4a, m4v, mov, flv, 3gp, 3gpp, ts, m2ts, rmvb, rm, avi, asf, wmv, webm, swf
