As of the past few hours, pre-orders placed on the Nintendo eShop can be canceled, provided this is done within seven days of the game's release. A not insignificant novelty for gamers, who perhaps sometimes found themselves pre-ordering a game that they were anxiously awaiting and then unable to change their mind about the day one purchase.
To access this possibility, you need to access the Shop Menu within the Nintendo Account settings, and cancel the operation. All via Nintendo Switch, a console of which a new version has just been spotted at the FCC, a few days after the rumor about the existence of a Pro variant.
Until now, Nintendo's eShop charged customers with pre-order, and there was no way to get a refund before the game launched; from now on, the costs will be charged only seven days before the release of the play product.
With this decision, the company aligns itself with the many other digital stores that have been applying policies of this kind for some time. Among these, for example, there are Sony and Microsoft, which in addition allow you to ask for a refund in digital form even after the release of a game, as long as certain conditions are met.
