MSI Modern 14 laptops are updated both from an aesthetic and component point of view. We find the latest generation processors of both AMD (i.e. Ryzen 4000, up to the 7 series) and Intel (tenth generation cores, which actually were already on previous models).
Compared to the last generation, the style has become bolder and more recognizable. When it opens, the display slightly raises the base to ensure better air flow, and the color choices for the body – onyx black and basalt blue – are unconventional and full of personality. The sandblasted aluminum finish is immediately recognizable also to the touch.
The optional dedicated GPU also receives an upgrade: this time we find the GeForce MX350 or the NVIDIA MX330 (only in conjunction with Intel processors). The FHD 1080p panel covers 100% of the sRGB color space and boasts very thin edges, with screen / body ratio close to 90%. The hinge allows a 180 ° opening of the display.
The laptop weighs just 1.3 kg without giving up a reasonably large battery (3 cells, 52 Wh) which guarantees up to 10 hours of autonomy. In all this, MSI does not fail to insert 1 USB Type-C port (3.2 Gen 2) and two Type-A, even if they are only 2.0, an HDMI and a microSD reader. RAM goes up to 32 GB, Wi-Fi is ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and the keyboard is backlit in white (optional in models with AMD CPU). To be precise, the planned processors are the following:
- Intel Core i7-10510U
- Intel Core 15-10210U
- Intel Core i3-10110U
- AMD Ryzen 7 4700U
- AMD Ryzen 5 4500U
