The appeal is now missing only macOS Big Sur, since iOS, iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS have just been updated. In the meantime, a new version of Safari arrives for macOS Catalina and High Sierra.
According to the changelog, Safari 14 includes new features, improves performance and offers greater security thanks to the Privacy Report, a privacy report that shows cross-site trackers being blocked by “Smart Anti-Tracking”. This feature has also arrived on Safari for iOS and iPadOS 14.
Apple's web browser now also offers a new design for the tab bar that shows a preview on hover and displays the default favicons. A customizable start page has also been created that allows you to set a background image and add new sections.
But there are also some new features that necessarily require macOS Big Sur to run: the long-awaited support for 4K HDR video and the translation feature built into the browser. Furthermore, with Safari 14, as widely announced years ago, Adobe Flash support is definitively removed to ensure greater security.
The Safari browser update is available via the appropriate page in the macOS system settings.
