Although 2020 started (and continued) in the worst possible way for most of the world, it seems that the end of the year should be a turning point, at least for Apple.
According to the latest rumors reported by DigiTimes, in fact, it seems that the home of the bitten Apple is preparing to face a particularly positive period, thanks to the arrival of new hardware that should attract the attention of the general public. No, we are not referring to the usual iPhone 12, but to the next MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13 and the long-awaited iPad with 10.8 "display.
According to DigiTimes, the two 13-inch MacBooks will be the first products to be equipped with the long-awaited Apple Silicon, or the new processor developed internally by Cupertino which will adopt a common architecture with that already used by the iPhone and iPad.
It is speculated that these new products may prompt many users to update their MacBook, as DigiTimes' predictions – based on the feedback received from the manufacturers of the screen backlight systems used on the next MacBooks – suggest a significant increase in home laptop shipments Apple. Last year 14.5 / 15.5 million Macs were shipped, while by 2020 – in the same reference period – it is expected to reach 16-17 million. These are expectations in line with what has already been assumed in recent days.
The same positive atmosphere can also be felt among the suppliers who will take care of the backlighting of the 10.8 "iPad – which should integrate a new 20W charger in the package – even if in this case there are no estimates regarding the possible sales volumes. However, it is specified that it is an economic model equipped with a more powerful SoC but, as we also told you in the past, it is not clear whether this device will lead to the unification of the basic range with the Air one – thus adopting a A13 Bionic – or if it will be a 8th generation iPad, therefore based on A12 Bionic.
The smallest TOP of the range from Apple? Apple iPhone SE, on offer today from Mobzilla for 425 euros or from Euronics for 479 euros.
