48 "OLED TVs have received an excellent response from consumers, according to the Korean newspaper Pulse News (link in SOURCE), which collected some data concerning the 48 "LG of the CX series. The pre-orders for the aforementioned model were sold out in Korea after only one minute from the opening, which took place during a series of events organized at the end of July Interest is also high in Europe: in some countries, stocks ran out after just one week.
The premium features offered by the CX series are certainly of interest. The equipment and the overall quality are in fact the same as those found on larger products and which are usually not offered on diagonals of less than 55 "(this regardless of the technology used: the same can be applied to LCDs of any kind). Even the features related to video games are certainly among the strong points of the CX series: it is sufficient to mention the support for many functions of HDMI 2.1 on all inputs and compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync.
According to Omdia analysts, the positive trend in sales will further strengthen in the coming years. It is expected to double in 2021 to a total of 229,000 units and annual growth of around 26% until 2024, when 320,000 units are reached. Looking ahead, it is therefore believed that the success of 48 "OLEDs will be higher than that of 70" cuts.
At the moment the only brands that offer a 48 "OLED are LG with the CX series and Sony with the A9 series. Philips should soon be added with the OLED 935 series, fresh winner of an EISA award as Home Theater TV 2020- 2021.
