IQOO presents the 120W FlashCharge charging technology, inherited directly from the parent company Vivo. The Chinese brand therefore establishes an absolute primacy in terms of fast charging for smartphones and, in fact, anticipates the competitor Oppo, who has made it known that it is ready to show its 125W charging technology on July 15th.
To make a comparison we will therefore have to wait a few days. The fact remains that the iQOO solution is at the forefront, with supply values of 20V x 6A, for a total of 120W of power. The technology will be applied to solutions with dual battery and proprietary charger.
The results are absolutely stunning, and allow a device with a 4,000 mAh battery to recharge 50% in just 5 minutes and get a full charge up to 100% in just 15 minutes.
It is still unclear when we will be able to attend the launch of the first iQOO smartphone compatible with FlashCharge 120W, however the announcement post on Weibo claims that the technology is now mature and ready for its market debut. Also to understand what will be the future repercussions on the longevity of the battery with a power output of this capacity.
