By now the discussion on the iPhone 12 is almost no longer about the "what" and the "how", but is all about the "when". Little is missing, but not very little: the event that Apple announced yesterday for September 15 does not seem to concern iPhone 12. And the rumor wheel does not stop turning.
The well-known leaker Evan Blass shared the screenshot of what looks like a promotional email from an operator (presumably USA, but we have no confirmation) who is preparing the launch of iPhone 12. The interesting element is the date: the end of the pre-orders would be set for October 20.
Obviously, as always in these cases, it is an indication to be taken with a grain of salt. In itself, the screenshot is of little value, but what is significant is that an esteemed leaker like Evan Blass has deemed it reliable – which implies that he places faith in the source.
The date of October 20 for the end of pre-orders, however, seems like a placeholder, indicative, provisional information: however it could still be useful to designate a certain time window. Apple could unveil the new iPhones 12 on October 13, a month after the September 15 event, and open pre-orders on Friday the 16th. Shipping, at this point, could begin on Friday, October 23rd. But at the moment they are only hypotheses.
iPhone 12 in October, Pro in November: that's when the new Apple 178 products arrive
Apple 13 Aug
According to the forecasts of one of the most active leakers on Apple products in recent months, Jon Prosser, the first iPhone 12 should arrive at that time: but be careful, because it seems that the four models will not be launched all together, but in pairs. According to Prosser iPhone 12 and 12 Max are scheduled for October, 12 Pro and Pro Max for November, while the latest report of Digitimes claims that the first will be the two 6.1-inch models (iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro), followed by the compact 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch Pro Max.
