Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max could be the only exponent of the new generation of Melafonini to support 5G mmWave technology, according to an exclusive report by Fast Company; and only in a limited number of markets, namely the American, South Korean and Japanese markets.
All iPhone 12s are supposed to have the same modem, which is Qualcomm's Snapdragon x55. Theoretically, the modem is able to manage both 5G sub-6 networks, which are the most widespread and easy to implement, and mmWave, which are more sophisticated but also faster. There are two problems with mmWave: bulky antenna and high energy consumption. Only the iPhone 12 Pro Max, whose display diagonal should be 6.7 ", has enough space and battery to support them as it should.

Fast Company also confirms that the iPhone 12 Pro will be equipped with a camera with Sony LiDAR technology (we are talking about the whole family, therefore both the standard 6.1 "model and the 6.7 Max model). some time, but one more voice never hurts. Apparently it will be exactly the same as we saw in the 2020 iPads earlier this year (shown at the beginning).
