The unification process of Facebbok Messenger, WhatsaApp and Instagram has now started, and we gradually begin to see its effects. Last month, WhatsApp added support for QR codes to make it easier and faster to share contacts, and now Instagram also implements a similar feature.
In fact, to follow a profile, it will now be possible to simply frame the QR code from any app that supports reading it (and obviously having installed the Instagram app, to which you will then be redirected, on your device). A move that should therefore mark the farewell to Nametags, based on the same logic as QR codes but readable only using Instagram.
Typically, your personal QR code will be sufficient to access the menu and select the dedicated option: at this point it will be possible to customize the color and share it. This is a function that will surely be useful to small and large commercial realities, especially now that Instagram has decided to push on ecommerce with the new Shop section.
