Iliad's landline is getting closer, apparently. It is no longer an indiscretion, it has already been known for some time, given that the French operator himself has officially declared it, announcing that the FTTH fiber optic network will be provided by Open Fiber.
What is still unknown today is when: if last year the CEO Benedetto Levi spoke of news "by 2024", now we know that times have shortened considerably, also thanks to the pandemic that has led the company to accelerate the process. After all, the authorization received by MISE in June is already a good sign, as is the publication of job offers with which Iliad seeks an expert in Italy Fixed Number Portability to be included in the company organization chart at the Milan office. Quite eloquent that something is boiling in the pot.
The timing of Iliad's debut on the fixed network market is not known, it was said at the beginning, but it cannot be ruled out that 2021 may already be the right year. Meanwhile, the growth of the brand in the mobile sector continues: AGCOM data confirms it, referring to the first quarter of 2020.
We also remember two Iliad offers that can be activated with the possibility of passing the number or new activation:
