The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 is one of the novelties presented by Qualcomm during IFA 2020: it is a mobile processor designed for devices equipped with Windows, and we already know that it will debut on the Acer Spin 7. And there is also a new HP product, which will most likely take up the legacy of the Envy X2, presented in 2017 with the Spandragon 835.
During the Qualcomm presentation (and precisely starting from 36 minutes and 15 seconds of the video you find below) we were able to take a first look at the lines of what appears to be a 2-in-1, like Envy X2 in fact, but it could also be said as Surface Pro X, considering the flat stylus that is housed in the upper part of what looks like a keyboard-cover, a solution introduced by the Microsoft terminal.
The material used to cover most of the body looks special, and resembles leather: an unusual choice that we have already seen HP adopt on the Specter Folio in 2018. On the other hand, even in this case it is a device designed for business users: thanks to the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 it will be equipped with 5G connectivity, and this will make it a particularly flexible tool for productivity.
At the moment we do not know when HP will unveil this new product, nor do they have any indications on the price: the lines that we guess from this short teaser, and that probable leather finish, however, make us think that it can be destined for the premium segment of the market.
