HarmonyOS has a new logo, or rather two: one for the global market, the other for the Chinese one. Huawei showed them during the China Information Technology Summit 2020, an event during which the company unveiled various details on strategies and future business plans.
The first logo is intended for the global market and is characterized by dots, lines and a capital letter bearing the name of the proprietary operating system. The second, on the other hand, will be used only in China, and has a decidedly more abstract aspect with dots of different sizes.
2020 is an important year for Huawei, strong in its first position on the global smartphone market despite the ban imposed by the Trump administration. The first smartwatch equipped with the HarmonyOS operating system should make its debut in October: it will be called Huawei Mate Watch. For smartphones and tablets, however, we will have to wait a little longer: the OS is not yet mature for this type of device and we will need to be patient until 2021.
