Microsoft makes significant changes at the top of 343 Industries by recruiting Joseph Staten (formerly of Bungie) and Pierre Hintze, after the decision to postpone the release of Halo Infinite.
Staten, a veteran of the gaming industry who contributed to the creation of the first chapters of Halo and the first Destiny, will be in charge of coordinating the team at work on the Halo Infinite campaign:
I'm thrilled to join the Halo team to help them launch Infinite. As the project manager for the campaign, I will support existing team leaders and give them a chance to do their best.
Pierre Hintze, Head of Publishing at 343 Industries, will instead join the Halo Infinite team as project manager for the free to play multiplayer experience.
Unfortunately, the new episode of the franchise will not be a launch title for Xbox Series X: its release has in fact been postponed to 2021. It should be noted that 343 Industries, following recent rumors, has confirmed again that Halo Infinite will also debut on Xbox One .
