According to web researcher Jane Manchun Wong, Google Maps will soon receive an update with coronavirus outbreaks. The search giant would use public data from The New York Times, Wikipedia, Johns Hopkins University and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, among others.
For example, you would see a number on the card and the indication whether the numbers are decreasing or increasing. Jane Manchun Wong was able to take some screenshots of unannounced coronavirus feature.
It is not yet known when the search giant will release the new function to everyone.
