A week full of news for HP and its PC division which, following yesterday's announcement of OMEN series products, today presents a new range of notebook and desktop PCs based on the latest generation AMD Pro platform.
On the occasion of HP Reinvent 2020, an annual event that sees the collaboration of business partners, the American manufacturer has unveiled new solutions aimed at the professional segment, a sector where novelties are always well received as they allow to improve and optimize productivity in the workplace.
As usual, HP does not spare and for the occasion presents several new products:
- NOTEBOOK HP PROBOOK 635 AERO G7
- HP PROBOOK G8 (400/600), ELITEDESK 805 G6 and 405 G6
- HP E24D, HP E27D G4 AND HP E24T G4 TOUCH MONITOR
Let's start with the HP ProBook 635 Aero G7, what is defined by the manufacturer as the lightest business notebook based on the AMD Ryzen platform. With a magnesium and aluminum alloy frame, the ProBook 635 Aero G7 offers good solidity without affecting the weight which, according to reports, does not exceed the kilogram.
The system can be configured with all new Ryzen 4000-U processor models – from Ryzen 3 to Ryzen 7 – with options for Pro variants too.
On board we also find a 13.3 "FHD display with a brightness of 1000 nit, while the rest of the hardware specifications are not far behind, with an excellent memory department (up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe 3.0 SSD storage) and connectivity latest generation that includes WiFi AX and optional LTE-Advanced Cat 9. Two options finally for the battery, 42 or 53 WHr.
Now let's move on to the HP ProBook G8 and EliteDesk 805 G6 Mini-PCs, systems that look above all to contain the dimensions and for this reason also available in the more compact variants with SFF (Small-Form-Factor) form-factor.
The HP ProBook G8 line – respectively G8 400 and G8 600 – provides mini-PCs that are installed behind the screen and in general aimed at those who do not have too many needs in terms of computing power. Both models are in fact available with Intel Core 11th gen quad-core processors, low-power solutions that still allow you to manage different types of applications in peace.
For those looking for something more powerful, HP offers the EliteDesk 805 G6 series, available in different variants: desktop tower (Ryzen 7 and optional GTX 1660 Ti), mini-PC (always with Ryzen CPU) and SFF, the latter equipped among other things of double slot M.2. To these is added the HP 405 G6, available in Mini-PC format and equipped with AMD Ryzen Mobile Pro processor.
HP E24d and E27d are two monitors designed for conferences, respectively with 24 and 27 inch displays. Both models offer a pop-up webcam, microphone, speaker-bar and support for charging notebooks via USB-C up to 100W.
The new HP range closes with the E24T G4 TOUCH monitor, a 24 "display with touch support designed to optimize productivity, all with an eye to ergonomics. It is interesting to note that the product is built with 80% recycled plastic and a packaging with 100% recycled material.
