A year has passed since the presentation of Osmo Mobile 3, the DJI gimbal that can be folded on itself to take up less space during transport. A product "practical", we defined it in our review, which will soon – very soon – give way to its successor Osmo Mobile 4, whose strength has been revealed by Winfuture which reports today technical details and images.
The new element will in fact be the smartphone fastening system to the gimbal: DJI says goodbye to the classic clamp, replaced by a more practical – on paper, at least – magnetic attachment. The gimbal magnet will attach to the one installed on the rear case of the smartphone (there will be several options, ring or band style), making the holder stable and secure. Osmo Mobile 4 retains the ability to be folded, making it ideal and convenient for transport without taking up space.
There will also be news in terms of performance and tools available for recordings, including DynamicZoom to obtain zoom effects with cinematic styles. ActiveTrack 3.0, on the other hand, will guarantee the automatic tracking of the framed people, and there will also be a "story" mode to allow even beginners to create effect clips with the gimbal.
