Crysis Remastered will be released on September 18th. After an abrupt postponement caused by some leaks and too many criticisms, the first and timeless Crytek shooter is ready to return to PC and console, graphically improved, 13 years later.
Developed in collaboration with Saber Interactive, Crysis Remastered will re-propose a single-player campaign based on the original title, with high quality textures at 8K resolution, addition of HDR support, TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing), Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO) , improved depth of field, motion blur and new particle effects, able to enhance its playability.
Crytek also reveals that the versions for Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro will support Ray Tracing, making the lighting of the environments more realistic; while the PC version will support NVIDIA DLSS technology, and hardware Ray Tracing using NVIDIA's VKRay Vulkan extension.
A remastered edition that will have the important task of returning players – especially old ones – to "relive" the epic and exciting battles that characterized the first chapter of this shooter series.
