Asus broadens the product catalog of the ROG range dedicated to gamers: the latest addition is the ROG Strix XG16, a new portable monitor dedicated to that niche of users who do not want to give up their favorite titles, even on the move.
ROG Strix XG16 integrates a 15.6 "IPS panel with 144Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync support. These specifications make it the perfect companion for ROG Phone 3, the spearhead of the Asus smartphone range announced only a few days ago (and immediately reviewed) and characterized by a display with the same update frequency.
On the ROG Phone 3, but also on a PC or console, the monitor can be connected thanks to the micro-HDMI port and to the two USB type C. The latter is able to offer energy to the connected device to keep it charged during game sessions.
Mobile gaming sessions yes, but in complete comfort: ROG Strix XG16 includes an ultra-thin rear stand that supports different angles both vertically and horizontally, and a standard tripod hole that allows you to create multi-monitor configurations as well.
The remaining specifications also include a 7,800 mAh battery (Asus claims up to 3 hours of battery life), integrated front speakers and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Asus has not officially communicated the availability and prices of the product, although according to rumors the monitor can be purchased by the end of 2020.
