Last night, Apple announced the new eighth gen iPad and fourth gen iPad Air, accompanied by the Apple Watch range update with Series 6 and the brand new SE. Among the innovations not mentioned on the virtual stage of the event, however, we find an interesting novelty linked to the policies of AppleCare +, now much more interesting.
In particular, the additional warranty of Apple now covers 2 interventions under warranty every 12 months, for a total of up to 4 interventions over the 24 months. Previously, in fact, AppleCare + could be used to amortize repair costs twice over the 2-year validity.
The distinction of the 12 months is important, as the repairs cannot be cumulated: this means that if no intervention is carried out in the first 12 months, in the following months there will always be 2 and not 4. iPhone case, repairs covered by AppleCare + require the user to pay 29 euros for repairs to the display and 99 euros for any other damage. Obviously, the cost applies only in the case of accidental damage and not in the presence of factory defects or recognized by Apple.
