After the first official image of the new top of the range Radeon RX 6000 – unveiled yesterday by AMD and "shown" also in Fortnite – the fever for the new generation Radeon RX RDNA2 graphics cards rises further thanks to JazTwoCents . The well-known youtuber has shared not only a real photo of the card, but has unveiled an image of what could be the intermediate solution of the new range of AMD desktop GPUs.
According to what reported, this we see in the photo above is the new Radeon RX 6900 (or 6900 XT), a solution that, in addition to using a generous heatsink with triple fan and double PCIe 8pin connector, should mount a Navi 21 GPU based on RDNA2 architecture.
The youtuber also shows two unpublished renderings: one coincides with the triple fan model confirmed by AMD …
the other instead portrays a new Radeon RX 6000 card equipped with a dual fan heatsink:
Unfortunately we do not have technical details available, however the fact that the dual fan variant is also equipped with two PCIe 8pin connectors suggests that this model may be the next Radeon RX 6800 in effect; rumors also speak of a hypothetical Radeon RX 6700, however we doubt that the "entry-level" model of the Radeon RX 6000 series is so demanding in terms of energy.
AMD at the moment has not confirmed or denied the rumors, there is more than a month to the launch of the Radeon RX 6000 cards (expected for October 28), in the meantime today the NDA of the GeForce RTX 3080 expires, so stay tuned on FreeTechTips to find out how does the new top of the NVIDIA range.
