Amazfit is preparing to announce the new Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2, the heirs of the smartwatches announced in 2019 and recently updated with support for monitoring the afternoon nap.
The launch event of the new products is set for next 22 September: the confirmation comes directly from the CEO of the Chinese company, who a few hours ago shared a post on Weibo where not only the challenges faced by the company to design the new smartwatches, but also the analogy present between the Amazfit wearables and the Apple Watch from Cupertino.
Three main aspects on which Amazfit has focused for the creation of new products:
- elegant design – according to some reports Amazfit would have decided to abandon the square-shaped case present on the GTS and inspired by the Apple Watch, in favor of one with a circular shape for both wearables.
- long battery life;
- features dedicated to the world of health and fitness.
Until now, the company has not provided any indication regarding the technical specifications of the two smartwatches. However, a clue is offered to us by the Zepp app, which a few days ago began to show support for monitoring the level of oxygen in the blood (SpO2) and stress.
NOTE: The opening image is from an Amazfit GTS that we reviewed in October 2019.
